Welcome back to school!

On August 10, 2026, NACS opened its doors for the 56th year of educating students. God has truly blessed our school! To our new and returning parents, welcome! We are honored that you have chosen us to educate your most precious possession.

This year we welcome a few new members to our family. We welcome John “Bart” Sheldrake as our first and second grade teacher. We also welcome Jennifer Sheldrake, who will be working in the Pre-K and Kindergarten classroom. Lastly, we welcome Pastor Richard New, as our high school facilitator. We are truly blessed to be surrounded by such amazing individuals!

This year we are excited to be able to offer high school via distance learning with Atlanta Adventist Academy. The students started their journey on August 3rd. They began the school year traveling to South Carolina for a Spiritual Retreat to meet the on-campus students, as well as the other distance learners. The students returned excited to have met new friends and are ready for a wonderful new start.

Highlights

It was wonderful seeing all of our families who came out for orientation. This year we hosted two orientations. The first was an orientation for our youngest clientele, the parents of our VPK students. The second was held at the church for all other families. This was an information meeting that covered policies and procedures at NACS. If by chance you missed the meeting, please see Ms. Green or Ms. Subrina for important information that was distributed at the meeting.

Coming Up

The students will complete the first round of MAP testing starting August 24th. This assessment is used to determine the students’ academic progress over time. It also allows the teacher to adjust instruction to match the specific learning level of the pupil. In order to give the students the best advantage possible, we ask that students get a full night’s rest, eat a healthy breakfast and stay away from sugar.

Before August finishes, we will have Curriculum Night. All families are strongly encouraged to come out and learn about classroom expectations, curriculum, and major projects.
