This Week's Green Note - January 9, 2023

Happy New Year!

Wishing you joy, peace, and God's rich blessings!

Hello NACS Family,

Happy New Year! I pray this new year brings you and your family joy, peace and a bucket load of God’s rich blessings.

This week we begin the MAP testing, please consider:

  • Have your child or children get a good night’s rest.

  • Limit sugar and sugary foods.

  • Be on time for school.

  • Send a healthy snack for your child(ren).

  • There will be no major assessments given this week.

  • Homework will be light.

This month we celebrate the ministry of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a man who had the heart of Christ in his beliefs regarding non-violence and justice for all. On January 16th, the school will be closed in recognition of Dr. King’s birthday. I would like to challenge you to make this a day to do something for someone in need. My favorite quote from Dr. King is:

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.

Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”

Martin Luther King, Jr.

Let's make January 16 a day that we show Christ’s love as we let His light shine through us.

Weekly Scripture

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven.

Matthew 5:16
