This Week's Green Note - March 27, 2022

Exceeding Expectations

Angelo Carmona shared his testimony during our Week of Prayer. We were so blessed!

Hello NACS Family,

This past week, Angelo Carmona spoke for Week of Prayer. The week left us on such a spiritual high that like the disciples on the road to Emmaus, We can say, “Were not our hearts burning within us when he opened the scriptures to us?”

Angelo, a former NACS student shared his testimony of victory over drugs and alcohol. His parents did not want him to leave our school, but he nagged his parents until they finally gave in. It was not long after arriving in public school that he found himself drinking and taking drugs. He shared his journey of not just taking, but also selling, drugs to the point of having a near-death experience.

He was running away from the arms of his loving Savior to the arms of the enemy. One night, Angelo experienced being pinned to his bed. This was not the first time this event took place; prior to this he was able to say, “Jesus” and the entity would leave him. The difference this time being, he was unable to escape the presence that held him down. He was finally set free, but only after crying out to Jesus again and again and again. Angelo’s sin took him further than he wanted to go and kept him longer than he planned to stay...as sin often will.

This is just a small segment of Angelo’s story. The students all listened attentively as he went on to share how Christ revealed himself to him and he was able to escape from a life of drugs and alcohol.

To God be the glory great things he has done! Angelo can now testify of how Christ left the ninety and nine and came after him. What an awesome God we serve!
